 Dr. Douglas R. Fabiani is from Clearwater, Florida. He is a graduate of the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in Food Science and Human Nutrition. He was accepted early into dental school. After earning his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from The University of Florida College of Dentistry in 2000, he was accepted into a General Practice Residency program at the VA Hospital in Gainesville, Florida. After completing his residency, he moved to Sarasota in 2002 where he and Dr. Karp now practice. He has completed his 500+ hours of continuing education and will be receiving his Fellowship status in the Academy of General Dentistry in 2010. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, West Coast Dental Association, Florida Dental Association, Sarasota County Dental Association and American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
He served as secretary for the Sarasota County Dental Association and is now the Vice-President. He also serves on the Academy of Alumni and Friends Board with the UF College of Dentistry.
Continuing education is very important in keeping up with the latest techniques and advances in order to provide the best possible dental care available anywhere. He has attended many conferences and conventions locally and internationally on topics such as implantology, esthetic dentistry, pediactric care, geriatric dental care, restorative materials, and prosthodontic treatment.
Dr. Fabiani's hobbies include many outdoor sports such as fishing, diving, golfing, and running.
